Volunteers are needed for the summer of 2008 to sample the quality of the water of the Lamprey River, the North River, the Little River and the Piscassic River. Volunteers will receive training at the beginning of the season and sample 10 sites on a biweekly basis from May through September.
2008 Training will be held in May. Please call the LRWA office at 659-9363 if you are interested in attending and volunteering this season.
The information gathered by volunteers is extremely valuable to understanding the overall health of the watershed. Without the time and effort of volunteers, little would be known about the condition of the water in the watershed. Thank you, volunteers!
Data from sampling is compiled by the NH Department of Environmental Services through the Volunteer River Assessment Program (VRAP). More information about the program can be found at http://www.des.state.nh.us/WMB/VRAP/

The Lamprey River Watershed Association is pursuing a working relationship with all of the environmental, natural resource, and conservation organizations working in the watershed. It is the hope of LRWA that we can serve to increase the partnering and cooperation of organizations in the watershed that have the same or similar goals. By working together, our strength is greater.
